Le cerveau est un organe complexe du corps humain qui change continuellement avec l\u2019\u00e2ge. Nos exp\u00e9riences et comportements peuvent influencer notre cerveau et, par cons\u00e9quent, il est important de continuer \u00e0 pratiquer des activit\u00e9s b\u00e9n\u00e9fiques pour la sant\u00e9 c\u00e9r\u00e9brale.<\/p>\n<p>La d\u00e9mence est habituellement per\u00e7ue comme une \u00ab maladie de personnes \u00e2g\u00e9es \u00bb, mais il s\u2019agit d\u2019un ensemble de sympt\u00f4mes caus\u00e9s par des troubles qui touchent le cerveau \u00e0 tout \u00e2ge. Puisque la d\u00e9mence est une maladie \u00e9volutive, les sympt\u00f4mes s\u2019aggravent \u00e0 mesure qu\u2019un plus grand nombre de cellules du cerveau sont endommag\u00e9es. Bien que la d\u00e9mence soit associ\u00e9e \u00e0 certains facteurs de risque qu\u2019on ne peut pas contr\u00f4ler (c.-\u00e0-d., l\u2019\u00e2ge et la g\u00e9n\u00e9tique), il est possible de r\u00e9duire le risque d\u2019\u00eatre atteint de d\u00e9mence. Il n\u2019est jamais trop t\u00f4t ou trop tard pour prendre soin de sa sant\u00e9 mentale!<\/p>\n<p>Conseils pour favoriser la sant\u00e9 du cerveau  :<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Restez actif \u2013 pour garder votre corps et votre esprit actifs.<\/li>\n<li>Restez social \u2013 en communiquant avec des amis et des membres de la famille, en vous joignant \u00e0 un groupe ou \u00e0 un club, ou en faisant du b\u00e9n\u00e9volat.<\/li>\n<li>Mettez votre cerveau au d\u00e9fi \u2013 en participant r\u00e9guli\u00e8rement \u00e0 des activit\u00e9s stimulantes intellectuellement, y compris l\u2019apprentissage de nouvelles choses.<\/li>\n<li>G\u00e9rez vos probl\u00e8mes de sant\u00e9 \u2013 en surveillant l\u2019hypertension, les taux \u00e9lev\u00e9s de cholest\u00e9rol, le diab\u00e8te et l\u2019ob\u00e9sit\u00e9 \u2013 car ils peuvent accro\u00eetre le risque de d\u00e9mence.<\/li>\n<li>G\u00e9rez votre stress \u2013 en vous confiant \u00e0 quelqu\u2019un ou en demandant de l\u2019aide.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Pour en savoir plus sur l\u2019impact positif sur la cognition que peut avoir le fait de rester actif, social et fort, explorez les cours gratuits en ligne accessibles \u00e0 tous!
